I picked this up in the mid 80's from Kay-Bee Toys.  It wasn't cheap, but don't let the simple exterior fool you.  Atop his head, lay 25 program keys.  Through these you can program a sequence of motion and sound including 3 gear speeds!  He also has a demo button.  This is not mentioned on the box anywhere, but he coincidentally looks like "Vincent" from Disney's "Black Hole", hmmm...
