Okay guys, I just had to throw this one in here.  This is some of the equipment that I run and program at work.  This is what the majority of modern day robots look like.  They are industrial robots.  This is a Hitachi Seiki turning center, or CNC lathe.

Everything around you (that isn't nature) was made by someone or something.  Machines like this one are used to make parts for other machines.  I mainly use non-computerized manual machines.  We are an industrial repair shop and that is what is required for one of a kind parts or modifications.  Although, machines like this are becoming a necessity for repair shops just to keep up with the competition as times change.

What's an all purpose robot site without covering all types of robots?  I thought these little guys needed some sort of representation.
